This day was divided into 2. We cycled on Route 11 along the coast to Haitung. We then boarded a bus for around 80 kilometres to gain time and to avoid the busy road that we were told had no hard shoulder or bike lane . We were then cycling along nice quiet side roads all the way to the southern tip of Taiwan.

| We got off the bus on the R192 at the point where we could take the R199 south. It was dark by the time we reached KM 60. Very dark as not much lighting or houses until we reached the bright lights and the night life of lively Kenting. The next day we hired an van to take us back to Kaohsiung Airport for the flight home. |
